The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, attended the final version of the draft of the third voluntary report on sustainable development, which Iraq will submit to the United Nations next July.
This came during a joint meeting with the UNDP in Iraq, chaired by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning for Technical Affairs, Dr. Maher Hammad Johan, and attended by a number of general managers, heads of relevant departments, and academic experts.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms for preparing and presenting the third voluntary report on sustainable development in Iraq for the year 2025. It also reviewed the final measures required for the side event, which Iraq will present as part of the forum’s activities, and added some paragraphs related to the organizational mechanism with the international organizations participating in the forum.
It is worth noting that Iraq previously submitted its first and second voluntary reports in 2019 and 2021, which received significant international attention.
