“Under the Slogan: Technical Education: A Gateway to Artificial Intelligence”
Under the patronage and attendance of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Najaf Technical Institute held the Sixth Scientific-Technical Conference to discuss outstanding graduation research for the year 2024-2025. The conference was attended by students from the scientific, technological, engineering, medical, administrative, and arts departments.
The conference, which was supervised by the Dean of the Institute, Professor Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, was attended by a number of local government and academic figures, as well as researchers, specialists, and a group of professors and students from the Institute. It aimed to discuss outstanding research by the Institute’s students in all the aforementioned disciplines, hone their skills in scientific research, and market and utilize research results.
In his speech, Al-Zubaidi welcomed all attendees and congratulated the Najaf Technical Institute and its dear students on holding this distinguished conference, wishing them success and continued contributions in serving our beloved Iraq.
The University President reviewed the university’s recent achievements and the qualitative initiatives it has adopted, including the establishment of technical colleges in specializations that address labor market needs, efforts to stimulate and support scientific research, and the holding of joint scientific conferences between local, Arab, and international universities.
Al-Zubaidi expressed his admiration for the research and projects submitted by students in all disciplines, including research related to information and communications technology, which has become embedded in all areas of daily life, especially in light of the global digital revolution.
Separately, a discussion began on some of the research presented in various disciplines, addressing artificial intelligence in technical education:
Simulation and virtual reality
Applications for artificial intelligence
The importance of teaching artificial intelligence
And the nature of artificial intelligence.
The conference sessions also included a discussion of the research pipeline completed for the period from September 1, 2023, to September 1, 2024, and research published in Clarivate and Scopus repositories.
The recommendations were then read.
The conference concluded with the honoring of a number of distinguished guests and research discussion committee members with shields and certificates of appreciation.
The conference was also attended by the University President’s Assistant for Academic Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai, the Dean of the Najaf Technical Engineering College, Professor Dr. Hassanein Ghani Al-Husseini, and a number of department directors from the university’s presidency.
