The president of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, inaugurated the Central Library at the university campus in Kufa.
The president assistants, the dean of Al-Kufa administrative technical college and the dean of Al-Kufa Technical institute as well as heads of department of the university Presidency’s have accompanied the president in the inauguration of the central library. Nevertheless, cattle call of student and employers of the university from various department have attended the event.
The President of the university stated that the library aims, in the future, to achieve its strategic goals in order to fulfill the purpose for which it was established. This includes providing high-quality services, offering various sources of information such as books, journals, a special section for theses and dissertations, and other information channels in all their traditional and electronic forms. The library also seeks to facilitate access to these resources, aiming to invest in technology to automate its sources and make them easily accessible, in line with the advancements in scientific research and electronic publishing.
The serveries of the library are provided through innovative technologies including its website that equipped with user friendly browsing. the library covers a wide range of published articles, simultaneously, the library continuously advertising its activities and services.
The library’s policy strives to apply modern technologies in line with the advancements of the times, aiming to fully transform its services into an electronic format. This transformation will contribute to serving our researchers, faculty members, and students, enhancing their academic and scientific levels. The ultimate goal is to elevate our university to the ranks of prestigious global universities.
The opening of the library will mark a significant addition and a qualitative shift for the university, positioning it at the highest global standards and utilizing modern methods and information technology to provide the best services for researchers at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
