As part of his series of field visits to the university’s departments and formations to follow up on the progress of work… The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, inspected the progress of work in the Department of the student dormitory at the Najaf Technical Institute site in the evening. He was briefed on the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation work and the projects implemented in the buildings of the internal departments for female and male students at the aforementioned site in order to provide a suitable university environment for students that is consistent with the requirements of our students. He was accompanied by the Vice President of the University of the Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mohsen Al-Majtoumi, the deans of the Najaf college and institute, and a number of department directors in the university presidency. The visit included a number of events and activities that coincided with the blessed days of the birth of the Commander of the Faithful, Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him). The visit included the opening of the student information offices for female and male students, the opening of the computer lab attached to the reading hall in each complex, in addition to the opening of reading halls, a laundry and ironing hall, a water filtration station, a sports hall, and health complexes after they were rehabilitated, maintained, and developed to suit the needs of students. During the field visit, the students’ arrival records, food and essential supplies kiosks, and the green spaces surrounding the two buildings of the student dormitory departments were reviewed. His Excellency also inspected the foreign students’ housing and stressed the provision of all their needs. On the other hand, the university president listened to the students’ demands and needs and reviewed the services provided by the functional and service staff. He directed the completion of meeting all urgent needs to improve the level of service provided to the best possible extent according to the available capabilities. At the end of the visit, the university president appreciated all the efforts made by those assigned to perform these tasks and serve our students to advance our dear university and serve our beloved country.
