The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, visited Al-Musayyib Technical Institute to inspect the progress of the educational process. He was received by the Dean of Al-Musayyib Technical Institute, Assistant Professor Dr. Malik Ni‘ma Hawas Al-Khazraji; the Dean of Al-Musayyib Technical College, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Wadi Al-Zubaidi; along with the institute’s senior academic and administrative staff.

The visit included a comprehensive inspection tour to follow up on the workflow in the scientific and medical departments. During the tour, the University President reviewed the status of the newly established medical departments, most notably the Department of Renal Dialysis Technologies and the Department of Nursing Technologies. He also examined the readiness of lecture halls and scientific laboratories, in addition to meeting with students and listening to their views and needs, emphasizing the importance of providing an integrated educational environment that contributes to enhancing both academic and practical standards.

The tour also covered ongoing rehabilitation and maintenance works in the lecture halls complex, aimed at improving infrastructure and providing a suitable educational atmosphere. Furthermore, the President visited the Departments of Medical Laboratory Technologies and Medical Devices Technologies, where he reviewed the available capabilities and the level of laboratory equipment, and their role in supporting students’ practical training.

In a related context, the Continuing Education Center was inaugurated at its new location, enhancing the institute’s role in offering training courses, workshops, and skills development programs in service of staff members, students, and the local community.

At the conclusion of the visit, the foundation stone was laid for the building of the scientific department and the students’ graduation platform, marking an important step toward supporting urban and academic expansion and providing modern scientific spaces that contribute to the development of the educational and research process at the institute.

During the visit, the University President affirmed the University Presidency’s commitment to supporting its affiliated institutions and advancing the level of technical education in line with labor market requirements and sustainable development plans.

The visit was accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadai; the Dean of the Higher Institute for Nanotechnology, Dr. Bashar Jabbar Hamza; Professor Dr. Fadel Mahdi, Dean of Karbala Polytechnic College; the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Assistant Professor Hussein Awad; and the Director of the Studies and Planning Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Haidar Razzaq Aziz.
