The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, participated in the افتتاحية session of the cultural forum of Mr. Hamid Al-Rumahi in Najaf Al-Ashraf, attended by a distinguished group of cultural figures and patrons of literary gatherings in the province.
During the session, Al-Zubaidi delivered a lecture entitled “The Strait of Hormuz: The Defeat of War and the Triumph of Geography,” in which he addressed the strategic and economic significance of the strait at both regional and global levels. He also examined the repercussions of regional tensions on the energy sector, highlighting the potential impacts of any closure of the strait on countries in the region, particularly Iraq.
The session witnessed strong engagement and a wide cultural attendance, featuring interventions and discussions that enriched the lecture’s themes.
