The President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, received a delegation from the Najaf Chamber of Industry, which included Mr. Wafaa Kamel Al-Jubouri, President of the Chamber, and Mr. Ali Yassin Al-Saabri, Advisor to the Iraqi Federation of Industries.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President congratulated Mr. Al-Jubouri on his appointment as President of the Chamber, praising the ongoing cooperation between the two sides in the field of graduate training and employment. He also referred to prospects for developing the quality of partnership through the Ninth Amendment to the Law of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which enables the private sector and investors to contribute to supporting the ideas of creative and innovative university students, graduates, and staff through business incubators and entrepreneurial projects.
For his part, Mr. Al-Jubouri affirmed the continued cooperation and partnership, presenting several initiatives in this regard aimed at training and employing graduates of the university’s colleges and institutes in the Chamber’s factories across various specializations. He also stressed the importance of supporting national youth talents and developing their capabilities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadi, Assistant to the University President for Scientific Affairs; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Mohsin Al-Majtumi, Assistant to the President for Administrative and Financial Affairs; Mr. Ali Al-Thalmi, Director of the Science and Technology Parks Department; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ameer Hussein Mohammed, Head of the Training and Employment Division at the University Presidency.
