Professor Dr. Hassan Lateef Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, received Mr. Sajad Al-Baaj, President of the Quranic Union in Iraq, during an official visit. The meeting was also attended by Professor Dr. Hassanein Ghani Al-Husseini, Dean of the Engineering Technical College – Najaf.
During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for mutual cooperation and agreed on a number of joint initiatives, most notably:
- Organizing Quranic courses for students and university staff at the university, in collaboration with the Quranic Union in Iraq.
- Promoting Quranic culture by holding lectures and seminars within the university.
- Supporting Quranic activities organized by the Union in the Al-Furat Al-Awsat region and across Iraq.
The University President emphasized the importance of this collaboration in reinforcing Quranic values within the university, noting that the educational environment the university seeks to provide must combine academic excellence and spiritual values.
For his part, Mr. Sajad Al-Baaj praised this partnership, considering it a significant step toward expanding the reach of Quranic culture within Iraqi academic institutions.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Quranic Union delegation honored Professor Dr. Hassan Al-Zubaidi in recognition of his efforts to support Quranic initiatives at both the university and regional levels.
