The Second International Conference to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals was held in Islamic of Republic of Iran from July 9 to 10, 2023. The conference was organized by the Al-Fourt Al-Awsat Technical University in partnership with the Mustaqbal University and Tabriz University.

The conference included five main tracks: climate change, renewablen energy, health development, health indicators, governance and good governance for sustainable economic development, and sustainable education. More than 20 Iraqi universities and 6 international universities from Tunisia, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia, and Germany participated in the conference.
A total of 185 research papers were presented and discussed, including 33 papers in the first track, 34 papers in the second track, 32 papers in the third track, 61 papers in the fourth track, and 23 papers in the fifth track. The opening session also included three research papers by the main speakers, two from Iran (Tabriz University) and one from Germany, on the engineering and health tracks.
The conference sessions lasted for two days, and the accepted papers were discussed in person and online.
The President of Al-Fourt Al-Awsat Technical University, Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, confirmed that the university has achieved a qualitative leap in various performance aspects, including scientific research. The number of research papers published in Scopus has exceeded 2200 in the latest statistics. The university has also made progress in other areas, such as strengthening the educational process, developing quality programs that meet the needs of the market, and providing a model university environment through the reconstruction campaign that the university has witnessed in recent years.
Al-Zuhairy at the end of his speech expressed his sincere thanks to all presented of the universities, Vice President, researchers, and all mumbers of organizing scientific and supportive committees for their efforts
