The Women’s Empowerment Unit at Diwaniya Technical Institute held a workshop on early detection for breast cancer in which Dr. Marwa Abdul Amir Al-Yasiri, Head of the Early Detection Unit for Breast Cancer at Diwaniya Teaching Hospital lectured at the event and Mrs. Inam Mohammed, instructor in the Department of Community Health, in the presence of the official of the Women’s Empowerment Unit in the institute, Ms. Rehab Karim, and a number of members and students of the institute.
The workshop included several theoretical and practical issues, including addressing the first signs of patient the mechanism of self-examination the symptoms that accompany injuries and how to identify them the role of genetic differences and the effects of genetic mutations thereon family pathological history of the disease, environmental factors and unhealthy diets and their negative effects on the emergence and spread of cases of various breast cancers. In addition, the workshop included practical and applied issues and the presentation of images and means of educational and guidance clarification showing how to identify the injury, vital signs and physiological differences that may occur.
This workshop came within the programs of spreading health awareness among the members and students of the institute to reduce the spread of the phenomenon of breast cancer, which has increased its statistical rates in our society.
