The College of Applied Sports Sciences Technologies continues its field-based awareness campaign in preparation for the 2026–2027 academic year. This time, the campaign was held in #Najaf_Al-Ashraf_Directorate_of_Education, with the aim of introducing students to the College’s applied sports disciplines and opening up new university pathways and opportunities for them.
The delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Naseer Ahmed Kamel, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs. He met with Dr. Ammar Al-Arabawi, Director General of the Najaf Al-Ashraf Directorate of Education, to discuss prospects for joint cooperation, introduce the College’s new academic disciplines, and communicate details of its admission plan to school students, enabling them to better understand their future university options.
During the meeting, the delegation provided a comprehensive presentation on the College of Applied Sports Sciences Technologies, covering its departments and specializations in Sports Sciences, Applied Sports, Physical Rehabilitation and Health Fitness, Sports Facilities Management, and Modern Teaching Technologies. The presentation also highlighted the nature of the study programs, which combine scientific knowledge, practical skills, and modern technologies in the field of sports sciences.
Particular attention was also given to the College’s distinctive admission plan, which provides equal opportunities for students from both academic and vocational education pathways. Fifty percent of the available seats are allocated to graduates of vocational education across its various branches, while the remaining 50% are allocated to graduates of academic education. This makes the College a unique university opportunity for students in Najaf Al-Ashraf Governorate from both educational pathways.
The College does not simply offer new academic disciplines; it opens broader university horizons for students and provides graduates of both academic and vocational pathways with the opportunity to pursue modern applied sports specializations that combine academic knowledge with practical skills.
