Under the patronage of the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Halu Al-Askari, and under the supervision and attendance of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, and under the slogan “From the Land of Mesopotamia, Ideas Take Off,” the activities of Entrepreneurship and Creativity Week 2026 were launched today at the Najaf Technical Institute, amid an atmosphere filled with innovation and youthful ambition.
Official Opening and Exploratory Tour
The University President officially inaugurated the events by opening the Small Projects Gathering, accompanied by the Dean of the Najaf Technical Institute, Professor Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Abdali, and attended by a distinguished group of deans, faculty members, guests, and the institute’s senior administrative staff.
The opening ceremony included an extensive inspection tour of the Projects Exhibition, during which students showcased their innovations, which varied across several themes, including:
Technology Transfer and Localization: presenting novel global ideas and implementing them through models adapted to the Iraqi work environment, with particular relevance to Najaf Governorate.
Innovative Solutions: promising projects reflecting the capability of technical students to simulate and respond to market requirements through creative and practical approaches.
