In a New Academic and Leadership Achievement, the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies–Babylon Earns a Higher Professional Diploma in Leadership with Distinction Under the Supervision of Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi

In a new academic and leadership achievement added to the distinguished record of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, reflecting its visionary leadership’s commitment to supporting academic competencies and promoting applied scientific research in leadership and digital transformation, Assistant Professor Dr. Raad Ajjam Sayel Al-Jorani, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies–Babylon, has been awarded a Higher Professional Diploma in Leadership with Distinction.

This achievement followed the defense of his applied research entitled “Employing Artificial Intelligence Technologies as an Approach to Improving the Quality of Technical Education and Enhancing the Efficiency of Its Outcomes: An Applied Study.” The research was discussed at the Higher Institute for Leaders’ Preparation and Qualification, affiliated with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, as part of the requirements for obtaining the diploma.

The research was completed under the direct academic supervision of Professor Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, who provided his scholarly insights and valuable guidance on employing artificial intelligence technologies to develop the technical education system, improve its quality, and enhance the efficiency of educational institutions’ outputs in alignment with the requirements of digital transformation and the rapid advancements in education and modern technologies.

This achievement represents the outcome of the university president’s unwavering support and dedicated care for the university’s academic and administrative leadership, as well as his continued encouragement of participation in advanced leadership programmes organized by state institutions. These efforts aim to develop leaders equipped with strategic vision and the ability to manage institutions efficiently and effectively.

The research examined mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence technologies to improve educational quality and enhance the efficiency of educational institutions’ outputs, in line with the rapidly evolving landscape of education and modern technologies, as well as sustainable development plans.

The Dean’s achievement of a distinction grade reflects the high academic and professional standards of the university’s personnel and its commitment to the continuous development of leadership and scholarly competencies. The research defense was attended by members of the University Council, along with a number of leaders, officials, and academics, who commended the research’s scholarly rigour and its practical significance in developing the technical education system and keeping pace with digital transformation.
