Under the patronage of the President of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, the Men’s Handball Championship of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University was officially launched. The opening ceremony was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abdulmohsin Al-Mujtumi, along with a number of university staff members, heads of participating delegations, and students.
The championship is held as part of the program of the Student Activities Department for the second academic semester, with broad participation from the university’s colleges and institutes. It aims to support sports activities, discover and develop students’ athletic talents, and prepare them for ministerial-level competitions, thereby fostering a spirit of positive competition among students.
The tournament will continue for several days and will include a series of important matches competing for the championship cup. All matches are being held at the indoor sports hall at the University Presidency campus.
