The Administrative Assistant to the University President chaired the first meeting of the heads of Student Activities Divisions across the university’s academic units for the 2026–2027 academic year. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Student Activities Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abdul-Jalil Al-Tamimi.
During the meeting, the Administrative Assistant congratulated Dr. Al-Tamimi on his appointment to the position and expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the former Director of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Naseer Ahmed Kamel, for his efforts and contributions during his tenure over the past years.
In his address, Al-Mujtomi emphasized the pivotal role of the Student Activities Department in raising students’ awareness and providing support to them across various university sectors. He stressed the importance of encouraging students to actively participate in volunteer, artistic, cultural, scouting, and sports activities, given their significant role in developing students’ skills, building their personalities, reducing the phenomenon of wasting time, and providing them with broad opportunities to showcase their creativity and talents.
The meeting discussed several key topics, foremost among them the Ministry’s program for the new academic year. It also reviewed the main aspects associated with its implementation and ways to overcome challenges in order to ensure the success of student activities.
